Pm Narendra Modi on Friday saluted the soldiers of Indian Army who're deployed in Ladakh and are protecting India’s border.
Also, he paid tribute to soldiers who had been killed within the face-off with Chinese soldiers within the Galwan Valley on June 15.
“The bravery that you and your compatriots showed, an email has gone around the world about India’s strength. ” PM Modi said while addressing the soldiers, nation rests peacefully because of your bravery.
He also said that the dedication to self-reliant India is strengthened due to bravery and sacrifice of our soldiers.
PM Modi underscored that India had always pursued the trail of peace on earth but concurrently, people who find themselves weak can never initiate steps for peace. Bravery and courage is really a prerequisite for peace.

He went straight to XIV Corps headquarters at Nimu outside Leh to understand the Chinese belligerence in Ladakh with Corps Commander Lt Gen Harinder Singh briefing Narendra Modi in existence of Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Y K Joshi.

Your choice of PM Modi to attend Leh was kept under wraps till he landed in the airport using the entire coordination created by National Security Advisor Ajit Naravane, Doval and Rawat. Doval, who came out of self-imposed isolation after a couple weeks, made a decision to remain back Delhi.
